On Physics and Guitar

The E string on a guitar measures 64.0 cm in length and has a fundamental frequency of 330 Hz. By pressing down wherein the string is in contact with the first fret, it is shortened so that it plays an F note that has a frequency of 350 Hz. How far is the fret from the neck end of the string?

Answer: ….

This won’t do either.

On practicing how to play Fall to Pieces by Avril Lavigne.

Why can’t I get the perfect tone for F minor? =(
I need a lot of practice, I guess.

I think..

…I have to trim my fingernails a little bit shorter if I really want to produce a pleasant sound when I strum my guitar.

Sacrifice. :(

Last year, my brother bought me this acoustic guitar – something that I still cannot afford to buy for myself – for our plan to surprise our father on his 60th birthday on October. Well actually, it’s kind of a half-gift-half-borrow ownership. But nevertheless, I consider that as one of my happiest days of my life. =>

I allotted this day just to familiarize myself with the basic chords – C, D, E, A, Dm, Em, and Am. And if my calculations were right, I only have 9 months to memorize a song and perfect playing its chords.

I’m not really in a state of cramming, am I?
